“If you want to be a true professional, do something outside yourself."”
Ellisif graduated from St. Clair College Law and Security Program in 2008 and St. Clair College Police Foundations in 2009. After her son Brayden was born, Ellisif returned to St. Clair College and graduated from the Paralegal Program in 2013. Ellisif was awarded the student leadership award and the student leadership medal. Upon graduation Ellisif was eager to get started, she received her paralegal license and opened her own firm in March of 2014. Ellisif operated her own firm for over 8 years assisting clients with Small Claims Court, Landlord Tenant Board, Provincial Offences and Human Rights. Ellisif is bringing her experience to the firm by assisting clients with civil litigation. Ellisif has always enjoyed continuing her education and knowledge in the field. In December of 2016 Ellisif started her role as an instructor in the Paralegal Program at St. Clair College and concluded with her last course in August of 2022.
Ellisif is truly passionate about helping students grow and truly enjoys mentoring students that she has had the pleasure of teaching over the years. In 2019 Ellisif obtained her certificate for Community Mediation from St. Stephen’s Community House and continues to volunteer her time as a community mediator. Ellisif thoroughly enjoys organizing and attending events for licensees. Ellisif is using her passion for teaching as she transitions into a new role with the Law Society of Ontario, planning Paralegal Continuing Professional Development programs. When Ellisif is not doing something that is law related (which is quite often!), you can usually find her spending quality with Brayden, eating great food, at the gym lifting, on a longboard or in the shop!
